Sadie's goes way back to the 1950's in its hometown of Albuquerque New Mexico. It was founded by Sadie Koury in 1954. Betty-Jo who is Sadie's sister took over the restaurant once Sadie had retired. It is no mistake that Sadie's restaurant has won "Favorite New Mexican Food Restaurant" five years in a row and remains one of Albuquerque's most popular New Mexican restaurants. Sadie's is a member of the New Mexico Culinary Treasures Trail, which is a New Mexico State Tourism initiative that honors independent mothers and pop restaurants. Sadie's is known for their distinctive flavors of true New Mexican cuisine for over 60 years. This family owned business serves spicy dishes, provides an exceptional service, and of course their famous salsa and "Christmas" Chile specialty. They sell their own sauces, jerky, and other New Mexican products throughout the U.S and Canada. The menu includes Traditional New Mexican dishes such as stuffed sopapillas, enchiladas, carne adovada, etc. Sadie's is also known for the salsa and chips they serve as soon as you sit down. The salsa has become a staple in people's lives that it can be found in 9,000 stores. Whether you like your salsa extra hot or mild, Sadie's jar of salsa has a bust of flavor made with New Mexico's true finest Hatch green chilis and jalapenos. As soon as you walk into the restaurant it gives you a warm feeling like being at home. The environment at Sadie's is a casual dining setting that surrounds you with true New Mexican culture. There are three Sadie's locations in Albuquerque and one location in Bernalillo, with no reservations required.
